The 'A Plug-In' suite
contains a suite of tools designed to make Photoshop™ more
productive and to offer new digital effects for creative artwork.
This series of extensions for Photoshop (and
any other product that uses Adobe-format plug-in filters) will
be available at the beginning of December 1996 on PC format
for Windows 95/Windows NT users. A Macintosh version
will be available in early 1997.
The 'A Plug-In' suite will be priced at £49.95
(approximately $80US), but if you order in advance direct from
Almathera you can save over £15 (around $24US)
on the list price. That makes each plug-in cost less than £5
($7) each! And remember, this offer is strictly limited,
orders at the special price will only be accepted up until
14th December 1996 (for PC version, Mac version special
offer expires end January 1997).

Here is some information on some of the plug-ins included in the A-Plug In collection.
Create stars, cogs, flowers and other geometric shapes on your images. Use as a background for your text, for stylish channel effects or as the basis of your own shape designs.
Draw highly realistic digital lightning or
electrical effects onto your images. You have control over the
colour, shape and direction of the lightning forks.
Distort your images with the amazing Warper! Stretch noses, expand faces, have endless fun creating distorted images, or, if you are in a more serious mood, use the Warper to professionally stretch or distort an area of an image with far more control than you would be able to achieve using the standard Photoshop tools.
Add a glowing halo around or inside a selected area of your image.
Give any selected area a three-dimensional beveled effect - ideal for professional-looking text or three-dimensional elements to really stand out on your web page or illustration.
Imitate realistic fluid effects, from lakes
to mirages - complete with ripples and reflections!
Automatically add a smooth drop-shadow to a selected area (including floating selections) to give the appearance of raised or cut-out text.

At the moment the ETA for the Apple Macintosh (68K and PowerMac) version of the A-Plug In series is January 1997. The plug-in collection will be essentially the same as the PC version, but of course your favourite computer will run them much faster than your average PC.
